DT Hughes Contractors awarded Multi Million Pound Contact with Scottish Power A four year contract has been signed this week after a 10 month procurement process that considered quality and value for money. DT Hughes have been selected as the successful contractor for a multi million pound Framework agreement to carry out underground cable maintenance and renewal of services throughout the Wirral district on behalf of Scottish Power. Over the last 3 years DT Hughes have been working as a sub contractor on the SP Energy Network growing the company from strength to strength. This process seen the company gain industry recognised accreditations including their NERS upto 33kv authorisation. DT Hughes have showed their capability to delivery a great service and achieve promising results by being awarded this contract. From 16th November 2015, DT Hughes will manage 100% of planned and reactive low voltage to 33Kv cabling works. By assisting Scottish Power to maintain the integrity of their network, DT Hughes are helping to provide a continual supply of energy to the Wirral district. Highway Maintenance Paving Operative – Position Closed

DT Hughes Contractors Ltd The job purpose is to ensure that all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements of D.T Hughes Ltd as indicated in Company Policy and Procedures are met when carrying out utility works. Highway Maintenance Paving Operatives will carry out activities as directed by D.T Hughes Project Supervisor/ Manager and to the works instructions supplied in the job pack. Highway Maintenance Paving Operatives will be required to work as part of a versatile highways team, delivering both reactive highway maintenance and planned highway works. They will also have to carry out the following tasks:- Responsible for onsite Health and Safety Slab laying, kerb works; block paving, maintenance and scheme work. Liaising with members of the public to ensure that the client’s needs are met. Working as part of a team to deliver reactive, emergency and other types of highways works in all weathers. Completing the relevant paperwork, risk assessments and vehicle defects. COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS Knowledge of relevant Company Policies, Procedures, Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
